We warmly invite you to the release of InterViews #18 — Connected in Contradictions, the latest issue of Ayumi Rahn’s ongoing publishing project.

Issue #18 was created in collaboration with Yves Mettler and begins and ends with a dialogue — a cartographic journey through personal and societal contradiction — between closeness and distance, reason and emotion, image and text.

Contributions responding to this cartography — through drawings, fragments, and writing — come from Fouad Asfour, Esther Ernst, Eric Ellingsen, Cornelia Herfurtner, Allan Tran, SIM&NIC, Yves Mettler and Ayumi Rahn.

InterViews approaches publishing as a collaborative process — not to assert positions, but to invite aesthetic and conceptual dialogue. Artistic collaboration is central and unfolds further in exhibitions, readings, and performances. Founded in 2014, InterViews has since explored dialogue as a form of expression.

Limited edition, printed in inkjet and Risograph on coloured paper.

Herzliche Einladung zum Release von InterViews #18 — Connected in Contradictions — über das Aushalten von Widersprüchen, der neuesten Ausgabe des Publishing-Projekts von Ayumi Rahn.

InterViews Heft 18 entstand in Zusammenarbeit mit Yves Mettler und beginnt und endet mit einem Dialog – eine kartografische Reise durch persönliche und gesellschaftliche Widersprüche — zwischen Nähe und Distanz, Vernunft und Gefühl, Bild und Text.

Fouad Asfour, Esther Ernst, Eric Ellingsen, Cornelia Herfurtner, Allan Tran, SIM&NIC, Yves Mettler und Ayumi Rahn antworten in ihren Beiträgen auf diese Kartografie mit Zeichnungen, Fragmenten und Texten.

InterViews versteht Publizieren als kollaborativen Prozess. Jede Ausgabe widmet sich einem Thema, das in künstlerischer Arbeit befragt und transformiert wird und sich darüber hinaus in Ausstellungen, Lesungen und Performances weiter entfaltet. Seit 2014 erforscht InterViews den Dialog als Ausdrucksform.
